MyMuse Bluetooth Not Working: Groove+, Dive+, Link+, Loop+
MyMuse Bluetooth Not Working: Groove+, Dive+, Link+, Loop+
Fix a MyMuse massager that will not connect in this order. Charge it until the light goes steady. Long-press the power button until it pulses and blinks. Open MyMuse Sync with Bluetooth and its permissions allowed, keep the phone next to the massager, and tap Connect Massager. Still nothing? Pair it manually from your phone's Bluetooth settings.

This covers MyMuse massagers (Groove+, Dive+, Link+, Loop+) and the MyMuse Sync app, not the Muse meditation headband. Get the app from the MyMuse Sync page; each massager also runs from its own button.
Which MyMuse massagers work with the MyMuse Sync app?
Four: Dive+, Groove+, Link+ and Loop+, plus the kits built around them. The original Dive (the egg) is remote-controlled; the Dive page says the OG Dive "doesn't have the Bluetooth chip needed for app control". Pulse, Breeze, Flick, Edge, Grip and Jack Pro never had app control; for those, start with the charging guide.
| Model | Pairs with MyMuse Sync (long distance included) | Bluetooth range (product page) | Works from its buttons |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dive+ | Yes | Up to 10 m | Yes |
| Groove+ | Yes | Up to 10 m | Yes |
| Link+ | Yes | Up to 10 m | Yes |
| Loop+ | Yes | Up to 10 m | Yes |
| Dive | No, remote-controlled | n/a | Yes |
| Pulse, Breeze, Flick, Edge, Grip, Jack Pro | No | n/a | Yes |
Phones only, no tablets or laptops: iOS 14.0 or later per the App Store listing, Android 8.0 or later per MyMuse's how-to page.
How do I connect my MyMuse massager to the MyMuse Sync app?
Pair inside the app, not from the phone's Bluetooth menu. The steps, as MyMuse's how-to page orders them:
Charge it fully
Blinking means charging, steady means full; low battery is the first thing support asks about.
Put it in pairing mode
Long-press the power button until you feel a haptic pulse and see the light blinking. That blinking is pairing mode.
Open MyMuse Sync and allow Bluetooth
Say yes to the Bluetooth prompt, and on Android to the nearby-devices or location prompt too.
Tap Connect Massager
Keep the phone beside the massager and the app open until it finishes; then you get 10 preset patterns, Live Control, My Patterns and Long Distance.
Pair manually if the app cannot see it
Pair from your phone's Bluetooth settings; the how-to page says to look for "MM Massager". Then return to the app.
Which permissions does the app need on Android and iPhone?
Bluetooth on both, plus one more on Android that depends on the version. Google's developer rules say an app that scans for Bluetooth devices needs Nearby devices on Android 12 and newer, and Location on Android 11 and older, hence the location prompt on older phones. Check both under Settings > Apps > MyMuse Sync > Permissions. On iPhone the switch is under Settings > Privacy & Security > Bluetooth; switched off there, the app cannot see the massager at all.
Why is my massager not connecting?
A low charge, a declined permission, or a massager still paired to another phone covers most cases. MyMuse's own answer: charge it fully, check Bluetooth and the app's permissions, bring the massager close, keep the app open during pairing, and if that fails, reinstall MyMuse Sync. Three more checks from support's app-issue probe:
- One phone at a time. Unpair it from the first phone before a second can connect, and do not log into MyMuse Sync with the same email on two devices.
- Toggle and retry. Bluetooth off and on, force-close the app, update it if the store offers one, start again from pairing mode.
- Test the buttons. Runs from its power button but not the app? The pairing is the problem. Does nothing at all? Charging comes first.
Why does it keep disconnecting?
Distance, a sleeping screen or a low battery. MyMuse's how-to page says to keep the massager charged and within 10 metres, keep MyMuse Sync open with the screen awake, and expect that switching apps or locking the phone can cut the connection.
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi share the 2.4 GHz band, and Apple's interference list includes microwave ovens, cordless phones, power cables and metal, so a wall or metal frame in between weakens the link. On Android, if it drops whenever the screen sleeps, stop the phone throttling Bluetooth: Settings > Apps > Show system apps > Bluetooth > Battery, set to Unrestricted. If it keeps running after a drop, press its power button; next time, go back to the app's home screen before exiting.
Why does Dive+ disconnect when inserted?
Because its Bluetooth chip sits in the tail, and anything covering the tail (your body, pillows, blankets, clothing) can block it; that is support's own explanation. One owner: "The moment I tried to insert Dive+, it gets disconnected." Keep the phone near the tail end and the app in the foreground; the power button still works if control drops. 7 of 158 published Dive+ reviews mention disconnects, Link+ 3 of 114, Groove+ none of 424. Support will ask whether it happens only during internal use.
Why is long-distance control not working?
Both phones need internet and two separate accounts. Long Distance is the only mode that uses the internet; Live Control and My Patterns run on Bluetooth alone. The official flow: open Long Distance, tap Share Control, get a code; your partner, logged in with a different email on a different phone, taps Take Control and enters it. Codes are per session and time-limited, so generate a fresh one if yours has lapsed, and only one partner can join at a time. Dropped mid-session? Rejoin with the same code while it is valid. Your partner needs only the app.
Can I use my massager without the app or without internet?
Yes to both. The power button cycles through the built-in presets; no phone needed. There is no non-Bluetooth way to connect the app, so "how to connect MyMuse other than Bluetooth" has a one-word answer: buttons. The link is Bluetooth only, never the internet, so nobody can take control without your permission.
How do I reset or re-pair it?
In the app and the phone's settings; the how-to page lists no button-combination reset. To disconnect: Home screen, Connect Massager, flip the toggle. To remove it: Connect Massager, swipe left, delete, then forget it in the phone's Bluetooth settings. If the app misbehaves, uninstall and reinstall MyMuse Sync, then pair again.
When should I contact support, and what should I send?
Write in when
It works from its buttons but never appears in the app after a reinstall; it pairs with no phone at all; or it drops every session with the phone beside it. Email support@mymuse.in with the email registered on MyMuse Sync, your phone model and OS version, the app version (see About Us), a screen recording, and whether the buttons work. Hours: Mon to Sat, 10 AM to 6 PM IST. Replies take 24 to 48 hours; there is no live chat. A hardware fault is covered under the MyMuse warranty.
Key takeaways
- Only Dive+, Groove+, Link+ and Loop+ pair with MyMuse Sync; every MyMuse massager works from its buttons.
- Pair inside the app: steady light, long-press to a blinking light, allow Bluetooth, tap Connect Massager.
- Android 11 and older need Location, Android 12 and newer need Nearby devices, iPhone needs the Bluetooth switch under Privacy & Security.
- One phone and one massager at a time; long distance needs internet on both phones and two accounts with different emails.
Frequently asked questions
Why isn't my MyMuse massager connecting?
Charge it to a steady light, turn on Bluetooth, allow MyMuse Sync its permissions, bring the massager close and keep the app open while pairing. If it still fails, reinstall the app or pair from your phone's Bluetooth settings, then reopen the app.
Can I connect my MyMuse massager to multiple phones?
No. A MyMuse massager pairs with one phone at a time; unpair it from the current phone and forget it in that phone's Bluetooth settings before pairing another. The app also runs one massager at a time.
Does the MyMuse Sync app work without internet?
Yes for solo use. Live Control and My Patterns need only Bluetooth between the phone and the massager. Internet on both phones is required only for Long-Distance sessions.
How do I delete my massager from the MyMuse Sync app?
Open Connect Massager in the app, swipe left on the massager and delete it, then go to your phone's Bluetooth settings and unpair it. Pair again from pairing mode afterwards.
What happens if my session ends abruptly during Long-Distance Control?
Rejoin with the same code while it is still valid; if it has lapsed, generate a new one from Share Control. If the massager is still running, press its power button or return to the app's home screen.
Shopping for an app-enabled model?
All four pair with MyMuse Sync and run from their own buttons.
