MyMuse Dive+ Guide: Setup, Charging and the Dive Egg

Dive or Dive+: which one do I have?

Look for the plus sign and for a remote in the box. Both eggs share one body, one set of specs and the same ten patterns on the power button. What you pay the extra for is the Bluetooth chip in the tail of Dive+, which brings phone control and long-distance mode. The egg with the handheld remote never talks to the app.

How do I charge Dive+?

With the pin cable, not a magnetic one. There are no metal contacts on the body; the cable has a thin pin that seats inside a round socket. Switch the egg off first, because it will not run while it is charging.

1. Push the pin end of the cable all the way into the round socket until it stops.
2. Plug the USB end into a 1 to 1.5 A adapter or a laptop port. Skip fast chargers above 1.5 A.
3. Watch the light: it flashes while power is going in and holds steady when the battery is full. About 1.5 hours from empty.
4. Top it up after a session instead of running it flat, which is what Battery University advises for lithium cells.

How do I pair Dive+ with the MyMuse Sync app?

Pairing takes under a minute once the egg has charge in it. The app is MyMuse Sync, free, on iOS 14.0 or later (iPhone only) and Android 8.0 or later. Tablets, laptops and smartwatches are not supported.

1. Install MyMuse Sync, open it and log in.
2. Long-press the Dive+ power button until the light blinks. That blink means it is in pairing mode.
3. Turn on Bluetooth, then tap Connect Massager in the app. On some Android phones the device shows up as MM Massager.
4. Stay within 10 metres with the app open and the screen unlocked.

How do I use Dive+ the first time?

Charge it, wash it, lube it, then take your time. Zara, who left a five-star review in June 2025, put the awkward part well: "I thought phone control would kill the mood. It didn't."

1. Wash with mild soap and warm water, then dry it fully.
2. Apply a water-based lube such as Glide. Silicone and oil-based lubes can degrade silicone over time, so the product page rules them out.
3. Long-press the button, insert slowly and leave the pull-out loop outside your body.
4. Cycle the ten presets on the button, or open the app for live control and your own speeds.

Why does Dive+ disconnect once it is inside?

Because the Bluetooth chip sits in the tail of the egg, and your body, clothing and bedding all sit between that chip and your phone. Bluetooth range drops with every obstacle in the path, so 10 metres across an empty room is not 10 metres through a duvet. Support works through these checks in order.

1. Charge it until the light is steady. A half-empty battery is the most common cause.
2. Bring the phone onto the bed beside you, app open, screen unlocked. Move pillows and blankets off the tail.
3. Update MyMuse Sync on both phones, and reinstall if an update does not fix it.
4. Check that you and your partner are not logged in with the same email on two phones.
5. Use stable Wi-Fi for long-distance sessions.
6. Still dropping? Press the button and carry on with the presets. One reviewer put it simply: "we moved ahead with the manual mode."

How long can I keep Dive+ in?

Here is what is actually known. A full charge gives about 2.5 hours of run time, and a long-distance session in the app closes itself at 120 minutes. Nothing published sets a maximum wear time for an internal massager, and this page carries no clinical guidance, so treat the rest as practice rather than instruction.

• Take it out at the first sign of discomfort, numbness or pain.
• Do not sleep with it in, and do not wear it all day.
• Keep water-based lube handy for longer wear, and reapply.
• Pull the loop gently and steadily to remove it. Never yank it.
• Check the silicone before each use. Brook advises checking for scratches or tears, which can harbour germs. If the loop frays, stop using it and email support.

How do I clean and store it?

Mild soap, warm running water, before and after every session. IPX7 is a measured rating: in the IEC 60529 test, as summarised by Castle Compliance, the enclosure sits one metre under water for 30 minutes. A rinse or a shower sits well inside that; an hour in the bath does not.

1. Rinse, lather, rinse again, paying attention to the ribbing and the base of the loop.
2. Pat dry, then air dry completely. Damp silicone going into a pouch is how smells start.
3. Store it in the travel pouch, away from silicone lube and other silicone toys.
4. Sharing it with a partner? Use a new condom each time, as NHS inform advises.

Who is Dive+ for, and who is it not for?

It fits you if

• You want internal, hands-free play you can wear out of the house.
• You share walls. The product page says 50 dB, and reviewers keep saying flatmates heard nothing.

Look elsewhere if

• You need app control to hold perfectly while it is inside. Seven reviewers report drops; the button is the fallback.
• You want a choice of sizes or wider steps between speeds. One size exists, and three reviewers asked for more.
• You want grip in the shower. The rating covers the device, not wet hands on wet silicone.
